The sale of the Plymouth'sCivic Centreto developersUrban Splashhas been completed,Plymouth City Council says.
Urban Splash said: "We're delighted to have completed the purchase of the Civic Centre from Plymouth City Council. It's an important listed building and we look forward to reviewing design options over the coming months."
The 15-storey building, opened by the Queen in 1962, was formerly the city's council offices. It has beensoldafter plansby the councilto demolish the building werequashed after it was granted listed status in 2007.

Penmellyn Vets,at St Columb Major, said it had been told the substance was found onbeaches atHarlyn, Constantine, Porthcothan andTrevone.
All the dogs were recovering, the practice said.

BBC News OnlineThe firm behind the Vanish cleaner brand has launched an investigation after thousands of bright pink plastic detergent bottles were washed up on beaches in Cornwall.
Reckitt Benckiser (RB) is establishing whether its products were connected to the bottles that were found.
Thebottles started arriving at Poldhu Coveon the Lizard on Sunday.
A spokesman from RB said it was "deeply concerned" to hear about the bottles found on the beaches.

County Council papers reveal a reduction of 3.5% is planned for the coming year, raising concerns for services.
The council says details of which services will be cut and by how much havenot yet been decided - the2016-2017 proposals will be discussed at a meeting of the ruling cabinet next week.

Ofsted saidTorbay Councilleaderswereineffective and hadlost sight of the importance of front line services to protect children. It also found services to vulnerable children were too slow. However, the report also saidimprovements were starting to be made.
Torbay Council, along with partners in the police and health service, saidthey accepted the findings and were working to improve.
